Select the type of license(s) you currently hold with the state of Alaska (JP, MA or RE). If you have already taken either or both of our courses within the last two years and you wish to apply them to a different license (Crossover Credits) from which they were applied last time you used them to renew, petition to have them applied to the different category. Send us the date and certificate number of your last certificate (or whatever information you may have) and we will send you new certificates applied to the new license, free of charge and you don't have to retake the course.
Select the course(s) you would like to take. If you need more than one course, take note of discounts for 16 credits and the strategy mentioned above for future renewals, if they apply. You will select your own username and password for each course selected. They could be similar but just a number designation different, so the computer knows which one you are accessing. Your secure purchases are handled through PayPal and any receipts will be sent directly from them. If you didn't receive a receipt, look in your spam as your computer program may have sent it there, but be sure to look for it under PayPal, not Alaska CEU.
With your current code book you may now begin the course. Please note that the State of Alaska now requires that each question be timed for a minimum amount of 2.5 minutes. You may take longer, just not less. It has to do with the 8 hrs of “seat time required by statute for continuing education, even though it is possible to take our courses in less than 8 hrs, even with the timer, it more closely matches to their satisfaction.
You may come and go from the course at your convenience and pace. If you choose to do one question per day or week or do it all in one sitting is up to you. Upon completion you will be sent a certificate via email. JP renewal requires the printed certificate to be sent in with the renewal application. MA and RE only require you to fill out the affidavit in the renewal paperwork that describes what course (s) you took, when etc. and you only show them the certificate if you are audited.
